Established in 2005 as the Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology of the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna to proficient in its original mission of hands-on education, research, academic service for the community, and cultural conservation. The study of agriculture was formalized under former the Technology and Vocational College in 1975 and later transformed to under former the Rajamangala Institute of Technology in 1988. Nowadays, the Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology (FSAT) provides broad arrays of hands-on education for the study of agricultural science and technology. It offers 6 majors with a high certificated diploma, 6 majors in bachelor's degree, 2 majors in master degree, and various non-degree programs with an experienced faculty member of 257, and enrolled full-time students of 1,221 (updated December 2020). The FSAT offers degree courses in 4 campuses in 4 provinces of northern Thailand including Lampang, Phitsanulok, Nan, and Tak provinces. The FSAT has aimed at providing the best hands-on education and required competencies for students to become proficient professionals in response to the demand of the labor market or to become new entrepreneurship. The FSAT members are also responsible to share knowledge, technology, and solutions with farmers, entrepreneurs, private sectors, and government agencies. |
